The invention relates to a device for the destruction of monolithic objects, mainly rocks, boulders, slag goats in metallurgical furnaces, and the like. under the influence of electro-hydraulic shock waves. A device of similar purpose is known, which contains a pair of electrodes connected to a pulse 1-th current source and a conductive element connected to them, which can be made in the form of a wire of a tube or tape. This conductive element is placed in the cavity of the object to be destroyed and this cavity is filled with a moistened dielectric bulk material. When passing a pulsed electric-. Whose discharge through the conductive element occurs its instantaneous evaporation, followed by the formation of a shock wave, which causes the destruction of the object. The purpose of the invention is the convenience of operation of the device. The proposed device is characterized in that between its electrodes there is a plate made of a dielectric material, on which the conductive element is tensioned and which is placed in the recess of the volume being destroyed. FIG. 1 shows the proposed device, front view; in fig. 2 - the same, side view. . The device for breaking monolithic objects has a conductive element 1, for example, in the form of thin wire, tape or tube, which. connected to two electrodes 2 connected to a pulsed current source (not shown). Between electrodes 2 there is a plate 3 made of a dielectric material on which the conductive element 1 is pulled. Dielectric plate 3 serves to orient the cracks, split into object, depending on its installation, i To destroy an object, a plate 3 with a conductive element 1 stretched on it is inserted into a recess (cord) which is previously formed in the object to be destroyed. Then dry fine sand 5 or another material with weak ionic or electronic conductivity is poured into the recess C and slightly moistened, after which the electrodes 2 are supplied with a pulsed electrical discharge, r. If it is necessary to blow up the object without noticeably pushing the splitting parts 1 The filling material must be chosen in such a way that it does not form a large number of vapors when the current-conducting element is pulsed by heating. If moving apart of the object’s splits is necessary, then the material must be chosen so that it forms a larger amount of vapor during pulsed heating of the conductive element 1. The main purpose of the liquid wetting the material poured into the recess is to increase the effect of destruction by increasing the transfer efficiency of the explosion of the object by reducing the elasticity of the medium, through which shock waves resulting from evaporation are transmitted. As a wetting fluid can be applied gasoline, kerosene, ether.
